He Said, He Said.
Audio files of the forums (fora?) with the nominees for Bishop in the Diocese of Tennessee are available here. So far, the only files available are those from the Saturday, 25 Feb. sessions with laity. Those from the Friday sessions with clergy should soon be available.
Update: Friday files rapidly appearing.

Well, after about four hours of listening I've finished with the first candidate (+Charles). I'm glad the committee included the audio from the clergy session as well as the one for the laity.
I don't know if it's fair or wise to post my impressions here, but I look forward to sifting through all this information with you and others whose opinions I respect before March 18.
One of the problems of the political nature of our process - especially when we are so divided and so much seems at stake - is that everyone feels the the need to keep his cards close to the vest - which is probably best for now. However, I guess I don't mind saying that I for one am very positively disposed toward Neal Michell. He is clearly in love with Jesus; thoroughly orthodox; the only one of the candidates that seems to have thought deeply about or even be remotely concerned with ecclesiology; his language reveals his thinking to be formed by Scripture; and he understands that the work of the diocesan apparatus is to support and build up congregations for the work of ministry - which is what this Diocese desperately needs.
All four men seemed to be of deep integrity and nice, intelligent, guys all. But I think Neal brings the gifts and orientaiton most needed by the Diocese of Tennessee.
I enjoyed hearing from all four men, but I agree that I especially liked Neal and also Brian Cox. I've only just started listening to Brian's other sessions, and I haven't heard Neal's yet, so it's hard for me to pick one over the other with any confidence. I'll come back with comments in a day or two when I have developed my thoughts more.
