On the Radio This Morning...

...I listened to Bob Edwards interviewing Thomas Dolby (he of "She blinded me with science" fame). Speaking of his influences, Dolby referenced a band called "Throbbing Gristle." I just needed to share that.

If you go back to pandora.com and create a new radio station based on "Throbbing Gristle" you can hear them. It's, uh, different than what I usually listen to.

Pandora describes it as having "punk influences, an experimental musical style, a highly synthetic sonority, trippy soundscapes and an emphasis on varied instrumentation."

I couldn't quite make it through the whole song (if that's the right word), but I tried.

Excellent research, Scott. Earlier I made the mistake of doing a Google image search. There were some band images, but suffice it to say that the adjective "throbbing" results in some unpleasant images. Seriously. Resist the temptation. Band turns out to be at www.throbbing-gristle.com. Still touring! But "highly synthetic sonority" has never been my thing.
